How I fixed My Eye Wrinkles

Eye wrinkles are a problem expressed by so many women as they age. I wanted to share with you how I drastically improved the appearance of my eyes without surgery. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for surgery when it’s needed, but I always try to make improvements on my own before I decide to invest in surgical intervention.

Here’s what my eyes looked like a decade ago compared to now…..

The key to success is consistency and reminding yourself that these results do not happen over night. It’s very similar to getting fit, it requires consistent effort over time. The same goes for skincare and facial rejuvenation. My passion for facial rejuvenation started years ago. It’s easy to feel as though the efforts are futile, but I can promise you that with consistency, and the willingness to learn, you will be amazed at the results you can achieve on your own.

Here are my ten steps to improving the eye area! I’ve improved other areas of my face as well, but today we’ll focus on the eyes.

  1. Monthly Microneedling – People do not give enough credit to the benefits of microneedling. The needling alone, not to mention the skin boosters you can use with needling, help to build much needed collagen and elastins in the skin. I use a Dr. Pen M8 that has been going strong for nearly a decade now. Lately I’ve been loving Juve Face from Acecosm.com discount code STACY10, which contains polyneucleotides to improve the skin both on a surface and cellular level. This product is actually priced really well for the ingredient profile, which reminds me a lot of Rejuran Healer which was more than double the price.   2. Tox – Tox around the eye softens the obicularis oculi muscle that causes squinting, crows feet and under eye wrinkles. By treating the muscle around the eye, it provides a smoothing effect in the eye area and a lifting effect of the later aspect of the eyebrow. I use Dehantox also from Acecosm.com.   3. Mesotherapy – Mesotherapy is tiny injections of a skin booster very shallow into the skin. I do a mesotherapy treatment every other month, which includes mesotherapy around the eyes. My go to booster for the eye area is Juve Eyes, also from Acecosm. I’ve trusted Acecosm for my facial rejuvenation for years. Their products are high quality and authentic. I fully trust this company for all of my facial rejuvenation product needs. Juve Eyes is also a polyneucleotide based skin booster specific for the eye area. This product can be microneedled into the skin or applied with a mesotherapy technique.
  4. PDO Threads – Threads have been a really important part of my facial rejuvenation journey. They create an incredible webbing under the skin and leave behind natural collagen as a support system as we age. Threads can be a safer alternative to filler or used in conjunction with filler. I find them to be an incredibly valuable tool in supporting and restoring volume and support in the aging face. For under the eyes I like PDO screw threads in 25mm length from Acecosm. I repeat this once a year as needed.
  5. Under Eye Filler – I do use a small amount of filler under my eyes for tear trough and under eye volume loss, but very rarelly. I’ve treated my under eyes with filler only 3 times in ten years.   6. TCA Peels – I try to do a TCA Peel twice a year on my face, neck, and chest. It’s much easier than you might thing and it has so many benefits to skin tone, texture, and pigmentation. It also makes the pores look so much nicer. I’ve talked to dermatologist that say that regular TCA Peels actually can have a better result over time than CO2 laser.   7. Nira Laser – There are so many devices out there that are just a waste of money. A good at home laser is absolutely worth the investment. I use mine 4-7 times a week around my eyes.   8. Red LED Mask – Red LED Mask is well studied to have anti aging benefits, and it’s a device I’ve used consistently for a decade. I started off which a very expensive mask from England. I now use a much more affordable mask from Megelin. Discount code STACY10
  9. ESTROGEN – I use a prescribed estrogen patch and an over the counter estrogen cream. Both truly help with skin quality and holding back the rapid onset of aging that is caused by menopause. Estrogen patches that are prescibed are a different form of estrogen than topical estrogen for the face. The topical estrogen can be found here.
  10. Sunscreen – You’ve probably heard it over and over, but sun protection truly is critical to prevention of aging. If we are going to put in the effort to improve wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and volume loss of the skin, it’s profoundly important to prevent continued damage and the undoing of the progress we make through the efforts listed above. Beyond daily sunscreen, consider wearing hats and avoiding prolonged sun exposure. Lately I’ve been using the Kopari Bright as Day Sheer Mineral Sunscreen which is beautiful on mature skin.
  11. Consistency – Try to be as consistent as possible in your efforts. Even if you only choose one thing from this list above, try to do it with consistency. You’ll be amazed when you look back at the improvement your efforts will show in your skin over time.

Although this treatments seems relatively new in the United States, the use of purified salmon sperm (also referred to as salmon DNA) has been used in Korea for many years. As I’ve mentioned in past videos, Korea is way ahead of the United States in terms of skincare and facial rejuvenation. Fall & Winter Fashion 2023 // Temu Haul

For those of you that love fashion, but are on a tight budget, or on weight loss journey and don’t want to invest in clothing pieces when you’re between sizes, Temu is a great option! The cost per item is very inexpensive, but the quality is decent if you’re looking for something for a single season, maybe two. I was pleasantly surprised by many of the pieces I purchased, especially the knits, and a little disappointed in a few. Definitely don’t expect amazing quality out of the pieces you buy from Temu, however for the price, you definitely get a ton for your money in my opinion. It’s important to read the size chart and use your measurements when deciding on size.

The shoes I purchased were a huge hit for me, and I had so much fun selecting jewelry pieces that I will definitely get plenty of use out of this fall & winter as well as over the holidays. The hand bags I purchased were super cute, but a little disappointing in quality with the exception of a beautiful woven clutch that I’ll definitely get a lot of use out of over the holidays and for date nights. I’m 5’11, hourglass shape, size 16 currently but vary between 12 and 16. My weight fluctuates a ton because of hoshimotos disease. How to Improve Skin Texture & Radiance

I get asked almost every day if there are affordable ways to improve skin texture and radiance. Although this is a concern across all age groups, it becomes more of a concern as we age. As cellular turnover of the skin slows through our lifetime, the skin has a tendency to lose it’s youthful glow; becoming rough and dull. Below you’ll find the video live stream addressing this concern if you care to watch.

First, it’s important to do a fundamental skincare audit! These steps should be incorporated into your skincare routine if they are not already. I’ll share several products that are budget friendly, that I use and love personally.

Cleanse every single night! Never go to bed with dirty skin.

  • If you have normal to dry or sensitive skin, CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is a fantastic option. Your cleanser doesn’t have to be expensive, it just has to clean the skin. I always suggest speding a bit more money in treatment products than cleanser!
  • If you have combination to oily skin, CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser is a great choice. As someone who has dry skin, I reach for this cleanser once or twice a week for a deeper pore cleanse. If used too often on dry skin, it can create some sensitivity, so always listen to your skin. Salicylic acid is oil soluable, anti bacterial, and penetrates more deeply into the pores. This is a great cleanser to rotate in with a more gentle cleanser. Personally, I rotate the two CeraVe cleansers listed above.
  • Another great option for normal, combination, and dry skin, is the Hada Labo Foaming Cleanser. This is an absolutely beautiful cleanser, and so affordable. This cleanser doesn’t strip your skin barrier or leave your skin feeling dry after cleansing. It’s been one of my all time favorites for over five years. I always have it on hand.

Vitamin C Serum – Topical Vitamin C Serum, used in the morning, promotes healthy cell turnover. Although it’s not an acid or chemical exfoliant, it has many benefits including brightening the skin, boosting sun protection, and smoothing rough and bumpy skin. When in doubt about the fundamentals of a good skincare routine, remember to be a skincare ACE. Vitamin A (retinol), Vitamin C, and Vitamin E.

Exfoliate – A highly effective and affordable option AHA chemical exfoliant is Alpha 14% Glycolic Serum. For those who are not sensitive and want to include both an AHA (like glycolic) and a BHA (salicylic) The Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Univerals Daily Peeling Pads are a bit of a pricier option, but they are fantastic!

Retinol – I personally use a presciption strength tretinoin in the evenings from Curology.com, but there are so many fantastic over the counter retinols now. One I use on my neck and chest, and love almost as much as my prescription tretinoin is the Naturium Retinaldahyde 0.5%, retinol requires two conversations to get to the active state, which is retinoic acid, Naturium Retinaldahyde is one step ahead of retinol in it’s conversion to retinoic acid, making it the closest thing you can get to tretinoin without a prescription.

  1. Moisturize – Topical moisturizers, are a necessary step in keeping the skin soft and supple. Skin that is dry will always appear more textured and dull compared to skin that is well moisturized. Avoiding dehydration by drinking plenty of water is also very helpful in keeping your skin it’s most radiant.

Sunscreen – This is a must! Every day. Year round. The sun is the #1 contributor to skin damage and aging. Protecting your skin from UV damage goes a long way in improving skin texture and radiance.

AT HOME TREATMENTS

A TCA peel is a fantastic way to rejuvenate skin texture, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles and glow. I always recommend starting at a 13% TCA, and moving your way up to a stronger peel over time. Jumping into a strong peel right out of the gate is a HUGE MISTAKE.
