Mesotherapy, commonly known as biorejuvenation or biorevitalization, is a technique used to rejuvenate the skin by means of a transdermal injection of a multivitamin solution, stem cells, PDRN and other skin loving ingredients that are thought to improve the skin and signs of skin aging.

What is PDRN? Polydeoxyribonucleotide is a DNA-derived ingredient consisting of a mixture of double-stranded deoxyribonucleotides with a chain length of 80–2,200 base pairs. PDRN is commonly extracted and purified from salmon trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), which provide high-quality DNA without immunological side effects.

DIY Botox | Smoothing the 11s | Before & After

Forehead wrinkles, especially those between the eyebrows, seem to be one of the most common complains among aging women. After years of spending a small fortune in med spas, I committed to continued education and study to feel confident treating myself at home.

Please note that all information on this website is for research only. This is not medical advice or instruction. You are always in the best hands with a trained professional. Having said that, with the study of facial anatomy, muscle dynamics, and injection depth, toxin is much easier than you’d expect. You can find more detailed videos at my private patreon group here.

Marionette Line Threads

The Marionette lines are one of the first places we start to notice mid face volume loss as we age. As the cheeks deflate the marionette lines become more pronounced. Some of this can be treated with lateral cheek filler. I’ve found that addressing the mid face volume to be a way to avoid over filling the lower face. Addressing the source of the lower face sag, which for most is mid face ( lateral cheek) volume loss, provides a subtle lift, which in turn improves the lower face. Threads are a great supplemental treatment in the marionette lines after lateral cheek filler.

Please keep in mind when watching these videos that although I’ve been in the Aesthetics industry for more than 30 years and have had tons of continued training, I am not a medical professional. This video is not intended as medical advice or instruction. I am sharing my journey, please do your own research and consult with a medical professional about your particular situation.

Lip Filler Touch Up with Tesoro Deep

The lips are one of the most overlooked areas of volume loss on the face. Images of over inflated lips flood the internet, which can be a turn off to those of us who want to restore lost volume, but don’t want to drastically change our appearance. Lip filler (or threads) can help restore loss volume in a subtle way for a more youthful pout and pleasant facial expression.

It’s important to note that dermal filler is one of the more dangerous procedures. The risks include vascular occlusion and tissue necrosis. The study of facial anatomy and knowledge of safe injections zones and depths are critical. This post is not intended as medical advice. Always do your own research. You are in the best hands with a trained professional.

The filler I used in this video is Tesoro Deep with lidocaine from Acecosm.com – Code STACY10 for 10% off site wide.

Microneedling | Miracle H

Some would say that Miracle H is strictly a Mesotherapy product, but I can vouch from personal use that it definitely has some noticeable benefits when used with Microneedling including improved hydration, firmness, elasticity and overall luminosity of the skin. Fine lines were less visible with an overall smoothness.

This video will provide more information. If you’re new to Microneedling, I highly recommend regular microneedling as a way to improve skin tone, texture and increase collagen production.

The Truth About DIY Facial Rejuvenation

Although do-it-yourself botox, fillers and threads seem to be a somewhat new trend on social media and YouTube, the DIY facial rejuvenation community has been around for many decades, and will continue to thrive in spite of efforts of those who feel threatened by men and women making the choice to educate themselves and be empowered to take on their own facial rejuvenation treatments at home. In all areas of services we might need or want in our lives, some of us feel most comfortable paying for a professional, and some of us are passionate DIYers that enjoy the learning journey as much as the reward of doing something that seems difficult ourselves. That choice should always be up to the individual based on their comfort level, risk tolerance, and willingness to learn. Quite frankly, I’ve always found that if I want something done right, I do it myself. This is also true of my experience with Botox in med spas which have left me with droopy lids, and Spock brow numerous times. It was through dedicated study that I was able to treat myself without those negative side effects that I had paid a premium for in a med spa facility. (Find video below)

Is this irresponsible? Dangerous? Foolish? A bad example? The DIY community is flooded with intelligent and capable men and women who have taken on learning these treatments with the passion of a med student! The community is also filled with haters, keyboard warriors, trolls, and medical professionals that feel threatened by what DIYers are discovering. With dedicated study, botox, fillers, threads, and facial rejuvenation is really quite easy. Yes, there are dangers, especially with filler! Those dangers can not be overlooked and must be understood. However, nobody is beyond learning! The large issue here isn’t public safety. It’s greed, ego, and the potential loss of profit by medical professionals. If they were really honest being truthful with themselves they’d realize that this has nothing to do with intelligent middle aged person taking their aging concerns into their own hands, and everything to do with money. The DIY community is dulling the gleam and superiority complex of the medical community and that’s infuriating to them. Can you imagine plumbers going bananas because someone installs their own toilet? Or a contractor losing their marbles because someone builds their own house? Imagine if you couldn’t buy building supplies at Home Depot without being a licensed contractor, or buy auto parts without being a certified mechanic, or not being able to buy electrical supplies without being a licensed electrician!! But Aestheticians, Nurses, and Doctors in the facial rejuvenation business go insane over people being able to take care of their own skincare and facial rejuvenation needs. It’s absolutely nuts! As an intelligent woman, I have the right to research and do what I want to my own face and body. It’s not illegal and it’s not wrong! What is illegal is passing yourself off as a medical professional or treating other people. You can do what you whatever you want to your face! Just always realize that you assume that risk! The time and study you put into it on the front end makes all the difference in the outcome, success, and safety.

If you’re a medial professional reading this. Really think about why you have an issue with me, or anyone, doing their own facial treatments. What is the true WHY behind your objection. It’s an incredibly small segment of the population that is willing to go the DIY route. It will have no true impact on you, however for the well studied DIYer who could not afford your overpriced services, this will make a tremendous difference in the way they feel about themselves as they age.

Fat Dissolving | Kabelline

The use of Deoxycholic Acid to dissolve fat came into popularity in the United States when Kybella came onto the scene. Melting under chin fat made it possible to define the jaw line that tends to get lost with age. When we look at some of the worlds most beautiful faces, one thing is clear, a defined jaw line is common among them. (You can watch the video below)

Deoxycholic acid is a bile acid, naturally found in our body, which breaks down and absorb fats in our diets. Kybella, is a commercially available injectable deoxycholic acid, is a nonsurgical, FDA approved injection used for contouring and improving the appearance of submental fullness. This is also used as an off label treatment for jowls, belly fat, under braw fat and other uses where more than one inch of fat can be pinched.

In other countries, similar products are manufactured and used. I have used Kabelline which is very similar to Kybella with the exception that it can be used weekly instead of monthly and does not produce the extreme pain and swelling that Kybella is reported to produce in patients.

Crows Feet Toxin | Wrinkle Treatment

Although I started my Botox journey treating the horizontal lines in my forehead when I was 35, it wasn’t until the past few years that I started treating the crows feet area. Honestly, this has never been a huge concern for me given my forehead was such a priority, and my budget for in office treatment was limited. Like most women, I can’t afford to spend THOUSANDS at a med spa to treat the signs of aging. Once I dedicated myself to DIY, I decided to treat the fine lines around my eyes on my own; more as way to prevent crows feet than to treat what was already there. Having said that, looking back at older photos, I actually had more crows feet lines than I realized. I’m super happy (and feel empowered) to be able to treat and prevent these signs of aging on my own. (See video below)

The vendor I used for this toxin is Acecosm.com

Sending Love & Hugs. Be good to yourselves and to others,

Please note that I’ve had 30 years in the beauty and aesthetics industry and have taken the study of DIY toxin very seriously. It’s not something to jump into without research and a full understanding of what you’re doing. This is not medial advice or instruction. How Cheeks Transform the Aging Face

The alarm clock goes off at 7 a.m., you hit the off button on your phone, and climb out of a warm bed. Sleepily you head to the bathroom and turn on the shower to warm up before hopping in. You never expect to find yourself feeling older than you did the month before. The years slip by too fast. ( Find filler video link below)

Then you glance in the mirror and see someone you don’t recognize. My Mother told me this would happen some day, but I didn’t think that day would come so soon. Granted most people have bedhead when they emerge from a sound night’s sleep but you’re noticing something more than messy hair. Your face is looking more tired and lined. There are crow’s feet around your eyes and your jowls are looking a little saggy. Even your cheeks seem deflated, much more so than last month. When did this happen?

Yes, mid-face volume is something we lose as we get older; but it’s not something we have to accept with age. Chances are strong, it’s not your imagination that you’re noticing these changes. The fact is we’re getting older, and these things happen to everyone, even those with great genetics and loads of money to spend at the med spa.

Here’s the thing, we can treat this; nobody says we have to settle for looking out age. Growing old gracefully doesn’t mean surrendering to the aging process. You’re only as old as you feel and at this stage of the game, you deserve to feel good about yourself.

Over the past few years I’ve decided to focus on the study of facial rejuvenation until I felt comfortable doing my own cheek filler at home. Filler is one of the more dangerous facial rejuvenation procedures; you are always in the best hands with a trained medical professional. Having said that, I found cheek filler to be remarkably easy. One of the resources I found most valuable in my studies was this Dermal Filler Procedures book.

My preferred dermal filler for cheeks is Tesoro Sub Q from Acecosm.com – Discount Code STACY10 for 10% off site wide.

“My preferred cheek filler is Tesoro Deep from Acecosm.com – Code STACY10 for discount! “

Getting Cheeky Again

If you are interested in plumping up your cheeks, cheek fillers can increase the volume above and around your cheekbones, which in turn lifts the lower face. It’s always best to have a consultation to get more information; if you’ve never had filler before always have it done by a medical professional before embarking on a DIY journey.

Why Cheeks Sag

Cheeks sag (like a lot of other body parts) according to the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery website when facial tissues start becoming thinner as we age. You’ll see increased lines around the nose and mouth, and cheeks making you appear hollower.

Fortunately, facial rejuvenation treatments such as fillers, Threads, and mesotherapy are wonderful for replacing lost volume in cheeks, refine wrinkles, plump thinning lips, and bring back a youthful appearance.

What Are Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are gel-like cross linked hyaluronic acid that are injected beneath the skin to smooth out deep lines, soften creases, rejuvenate aging lips, or enhance facial contours like sunken cheeks or temples. While Hyaluronic acid may sound scary and scientific it is already naturally occurring in the body and mimics how collagen settles underneath your skin.  Filler also aids in collagen production, producing a longer-lasting result improving over time. Because fillers offer almost instant results, they are more popular than ever for men and women wishing to slow the aging process.

Fast Results, Long-lasting

Depending on each person — as well as the type of filler used — results may last anywhere between six months and 2 years or even longer.

These are minimally invasive procedures — meaning you don’t have to go under the knife. Dermal fillers for cheeks can be injected in a medical office during your lunch hour if you work. You can return to the office after the short procedure, and nobody will notice.

Sure, there may be some side effects like redness, itching, bruising, and a bit of swelling but that’s about it. In rare cases, there may be an allergic reaction.

Simply stated: dermal filler injections are an easy, 1-2-3 procedure that will have you looking years younger in no time.

Expense and Choose a Professional

More cost-effective than going in for a full facelift, costs for dermal filler depending on the brand, the number of injections needed, etc., costs can range between a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars in a Med Spa with the average cost of filler being over $1000 per visit. For the experienced DIYer high quality filler can be purchased from a trusted vendor. I recommend Acecosm.com – Code STACY10 for discount.

Please always keep in mind that you are in the best hands with a trained medical professional. If you are not thoroughly researched and have a good understanding of safety, sanitation, or facial anatomy serious complications such a vascular occlusion and tissue necrosis are possible. Administering non-surgical dermal fillers is a medical procedure and requires specific training, knowledge, and expert skillset to give you the best and most natural-looking results.

Begin by doing your research by reading as much as you can about dermal filler, studying the text book listed above, watch as many videos on youtube published and other at home DIYers. Take notes and learn as much as possible. This is not something to rush into without study.

Botox Facial | Baby Tox

When I first heard of the Botox facial, also called the Babytox Facial, I was skeptical to say the least. I thought this was just another way for the medical community to charge a premium for toxin. The more I studied, the more curious I was and wanted to see how my skin responded to this treatment

The Botox Facial (Any tox can be used) is a shallow depth treatment effecting the skin only and not the underlying muscle. It can be done at shallow depth with a microneedling Pen, Dermaroller, or stamp. The benefits include refined pore size, tighter skin, improvement of fine lines and wrinkles and increased skin luminosity. I shoot for a schedule of every 2-3 months for my tox facials at home.

Please keep in mind that I do have a background in Aesthetics and have been in the beauty industry for over 30 years as a spa owner. Although this is a very easy treatment to do, caution is required when microneedling and handling toxin.
